How is Hyperpigmentation Treated?
During your consultation, Dr. James will evaluate your hyperpigmentation, diagnose the cause, and if necessary he will treat the underlying cause of the pigmentation. He can also review the length of laser hyperpigmentation treatments needed to achieve your aesthetic goals. During your appointment, you'll relax in one of our comfortable treatment rooms. At the same time, a member of the Providence Dermatology team will use a handheld laser device to target areas of hyperpigmentation. The heated sensation from the laser will cause the skin to lighten in color gradually. After your appointment, you can carry on with your regular daily routine. We will give you specific at-home care instructions to help you get the most benefit from your results.
